Place a population

Create a gang

A gang is a saved spawn area for one mob type. It controls where mobs appear, how many live there and how they behave.

Your first gang

  1. 1

    Choose the location

Hold the tome and right-click clear ground, then choose the mob. You can also use Create Area Here from its saved-area list.

  2. 2

    Set the population

In Spawning, choose Target Population, Spawn Batch Size, respawn timing and Variant. Make sure Enabled is Yes.

  3. 3

    Check the area

Set Radius and height limits in Area. Use this floor narrows the height range around the gang center. Use View Boundary to inspect it.

  4. 4

    Save the gang

Save gang · all tabs commits spawning, area, combat and sounds together. Nearby eligible players can then activate it.

How editing works

Change values directly

Left-click increases a number; right-click decreases it. Hold Shift for the larger step shown in the tooltip.

One draft across tabs

Switching between Spawning, Area, Combat and Sounds keeps the changes in the same draft.

Delete a gang

Delete Area opens a separate confirmation screen. Confirm only when you want to remove the saved area.

Drops save separately

Save a new gang before opening Gang Drops. Its drop list has its own draft and Save Settings button.

Defaults or just this gang?

Mob Defaults set the shared values for that mob type. Combat and sound changes inside a gang create a local override. Use mob defaults removes that gang’s combat and sound overrides together, not its spawn area.
