Blockout Canvas

Available now

Grab, Bend, Connect, and Erase

Four focused tools for editing the blockout after placement.

Reshape connected blocks, bridge surfaces, and remove unwanted cubes without losing viewport navigation.

6 min read

Move a connected neighborhood while preserving its structure.

01

Grab

Left drag moves a same-parent neighborhood in the current View plane. Radius and falloff decide how much nearby geometry follows.

Right drag rotates an ordinary cube around its pivot. On generated Chain Parts, it aims the connected joint and carries attached wing, feather, or plate cubes with the bone.

  • Use View mode for predictable screen-facing movement.
  • Adjust Radius to include more or fewer neighboring cubes.
  • Enable snapping when the result should stay on a clean increment.
  • Drag empty viewport space to keep orbit and pan available.

02

Bend

Bend previews a rotation through a connected block chain around a resolved pivot. It uses the current View plane, so choose the view that best exposes the curve before dragging.

03

Connect

  1. 1

    Choose the first surface

Click a valid cube surface where the bridge begins.

  2. 2

    Choose the second surface

Click the destination surface. Connect places one cuboid between the two anchors.

04

Stroke Erase

Drag the configurable brush across visible unlocked cubes. Everything touched by the completed stroke is removed in one native Undo step.
