Select the range

Choose Shade Brush
Open the normal Paint brush dropdown and select Shade Brush.
Paint mode > Brush dropdown > Shade Brush

Drag across the Palette
Press one swatch and drag across a contiguous set of native Palette colors.

Check the outline
The selected swatches receive one continuous outline, and the Paint toolbar shows a compact copy.

Paint darker or lighter
- Left paint moves an exact matching pixel to the preceding swatch.
- Right paint moves it to the following swatch when right-click model painting is enabled.
- The first and last colors clamp instead of wrapping.
- Colors outside the selected range stay untouched.
- Source alpha is preserved.
- A pixel advances at most once during one stroke.
