Prepare the paint layer
- Select Shade Brush and choose 3 to 8 Palette colors.
- Select the ordinary paint layer containing the base color.
- The base swatch needs at least one darker and one lighter neighbor in the selected range.
- The layer must be visible, full-size, normally blended, and at 100 percent opacity.

The changed base-color pixels are painted directly into the selected layer as one Undo step.

Each Block or Whole Selection
Each Block evaluates the same stylized form in every element's local frame. Whole Selection treats the targets as one model-wide volume. Highlight Spread and Face Shading adjust the balance between position and face direction.
